ENTREPRENEUR - AUTHOR - INVESTOR
1. Planning
We will help you formulate a gameplan for what type of book you’d like to write.
At this stage, you must decide whether it is fiction or nonfiction, hardcover or soft, and the page length.
You can also pick the size of your book.
The standard size is 6 by 9 inches, but we have other sizes to choose from.
The general rule of thumb is that every 10,000 words equates to fifty pages.
Therefore, if you want to write a book with 200 pages, then you’ll need around 40,000 words.
Usually, an author can write 1000 words per day.
With 20 working days of at least four hours each day, you can get the book of the recommended length done in two months.
You’ll have 10 days off, which can allow you to take breaks, even if you have a family and full time job to manage.

2. Create the Outline
Every book needs an outline before it is written.
This means you’ll need to have an introduction page, chapter titles, table of contents, about the author, acknowledgements, cited sources, and back of the book write up.
Most first time authors strive to create at least 10 chapters.
If each chapter has a minimum of 3000 words, then you will have a book with a spine.
If your book cannot reach that length, then it will be stapled, which means you are not likely able to charge as much.
The outline captures the overall message of the book.
Each chapter highlights the theme of each section, which guides the reader along the way as they navigate your book.
On our consultation call, we will help you create an outline in just one hour.

3. Write the Book
Now, you must get to work.
Let your imagination flow and get all of your ideas out on paper without stopping yourself.
Remember, when you’re done with the book, you can always return to add or remove any parts you don’t like.
During the writing process, you can also add quotes, charts, photos, images, or anything else you’d like to highlight throughout the book.
If you’ve already typed or handwritten your book, then you’ve got to make sure you can send it over to us.
The writing process can vary for everyone.
Some can write without stopping.
Others have major writing blocks.
Some can write a little every day.
Others can go on big writing spurts for hours straight.
Some need music, scenes, candles, and/or other things going on.
Some just need silence and peace.
Either way, we will figure out your style so that you can get the final results you’re looking for!

4. Edit and Proofread
Now that the book is done, it’s time to edit.
While you can edit the book on your own, it is wise to send it off to another person to look at it.
Our team has highly specialized editors who have learned to handle all types of writing styles and genres.
The editing process takes about two weeks at most.
We will return it with highlights that clearly show where you can review and correct.
You may choose what you want to do with these recommendations.
It is optional to get the book edited a second time, especially if you want it to come out flawlessly.
Once the book edits are done, we suggest that you send it out to someone you trust for proofreading.
They might be able to catch some mistakes.
After their review, you will do a proofread or two for yourself, then we send it off to formatting!
By the way..
While you wait to get your book edited, we will send you some book cover designs to look over, which we will discuss later.

5. Format
This is the part of the book publishing process that is the most difficult for most authors to figure out.
However, we’ve mastered the process and have made it easy for you.
In fact, the formatting process can be done in about 10-14 days.
But what is formatting?
It’s basically the layout of your book.
In other words, you want your book to look a certain way before it goes into final publication.
Since you’ve likely used Microsoft Word or Google Docs, we will make sure that every word, chapter title, paragraph, page number, and other details are completely aligned to your specification.
In the formatting stage, you will also be able to select your font, font sizes, and page colors (usually white or cream colors are best).
Then, we get to work.
When you receive the formatted book, you can make any edits to the format, until you achieve the final result you’re looking for!

6. Cover Designs
This is usually the most fun part for authors.
Whether you have an idea for the kind of design you want to create (along with samples and/or images you want to submit) or you have no idea what you want your book to look like, don’t worry!
We have ideas and our team can get anything done!
Usually, we recommend at least three colors to start with.
For example, the book might be mostly black with gold trim and white words.
Of course, we can add as many colors as you’d like–but usually four to five colors would be more than enough.
At this stage, we will also help you decide whether you’d like a glossy or matte finish.
This reflects how the book will appear when it finally gets to your hands.
Many authors go back and forth with the designs with their edits 3-5 times.
However, there’s been many occasions where we’ve gotten it right the first time!
The length of time to complete the book cover is usually done within a month.
We expect your full cooperation in this process and recommend the bulk of the design work to be done while you wait for the editing and formatting to be done, which helps everything run smoothly for everyone involved.

7. Website & Social Media
Every author has their own expectation for how they want to market and sell their book.
Our duty is to help you understand exactly how the process works and guide you towards your intended destination as an author.
To start, we recommend setting up every social media channel available.
You can either do this on your own or we can do it for you.
If we create your pages, we will make a few content pieces on your behalf so that you can post it right away.
We will also design banners for you and create proper descriptions for what your readers should expect before they decide to purchase the book.
Your social media pages should also have some photos and videos of you, which means you’ll have to produce them on your own, unless you’d like us to help you with it.

8. Copyright & Publishing
Now, we are ready for the best part of the book publishing process!
However, right before we publish, we’ve got to inform the government about your book.
We’ve also got to make sure you’re protecting your intellectual property so that no one can use your material in their own marketing.
We will help you through the process, which takes several months and a few hundred dollars to finalize, but don’t worry.
This is a step you don’t want to skip since it fully secures your book and ensures that it is official!
Finally, we set the books up to print and send you 20 books to begin with.
You can either hand them out to your family and friends to obtain feedback or just outright sell them!
That’s it! The book is published and you’re officially an author!
