The #1 Idea that Separates Winners From Losers

One of my fans asked me, "Daniel, what separates winners from losers?"

The answer is DILIGENCE.

Answering that question was so natural that I decided to write this article about it. When it comes to all areas of my life, I never neglect it. I never say, "It will fix itself" or "I'll figure it out eventually." I make it happen because I only want positive results and I do whatever it takes to get them.

The BIG Project

One time I was talking to a business partner about a project that I wanted finished in two weeks. They told me that "It couldn't be done in two weeks." They believed projects needed at least two months. I highly disagreed.

From 10 pm to 7 am, we talked about the solutions to the problem. Once we figured it out together, we concluded that it could be done in one week! The project had some obstacles that, once removed, was able to take flight and prosper.

Bank Account

Another time, my bank account was only at $1,000. It would fluctuate between $800-$1,200, and never exceeded $1,500. One day, I took hours to go through my financial statements until I counted all the costs. Once I became familiar with my expenditures, I changed my habits and started a savings account.

Within six months, I had saved nearly $10,000. Although my income did increase slightly, I made sure that my habit of saving money was automatic. Now my bank account exceeds 99% of Americans because I decided to take the time to analyze and act on it. You must do whatever it takes to make real change.

Reviewing my Journal

In the last few years, I've kept dozens of journals. I write about 3,000 words per day professionally and 3,000 words per day personally. Not only do I record my entire life and all my observations, but I review all of my journals at the end of the year.

Recently, I looked back through five of my journals. I was reminded of my deepest core beliefs. It gave me complete motivation. I was assured of my life plan and decided to prioritize my life that day. Journaling on a daily basis is a major key to my success.

Making Affirmations

Before I go to sleep every night, I have a few rituals. One of them is repeating dozens of affirmations in my office. With a stupendous view from my office windows for inspiration, I walk back and forth while repeating these profound statements. It rejuvenates me and gives me a solid foundation in my life.

I also believe in scientific prayer. With true devotion to God, I make sure I ask for everything that I need. Because I understand the universal powers, I ask to receive the results I need. I also keep my eyes and ears open to opportunities. This is my biggest reason for success in business and life.

Reading the Dictionary

Because of my devotion to the English language, I read the dictionary every day. I also flip through a couple thesauruses, grammar books, and vocabulary builders. Over the years, I've written down thousands of words I don't know. I cannot afford to let an unknown word slip by. I must master the language I use every day.

Moreover, I use these words in my daily conversations. With a few intelligent friends, we throw around words to sharpen each other’s minds. Another great fact is that I always have the Dictionary.com tab up on my computer. The dictionary is also by my side as I write this.

Relationships

One summer, a family member and I had an issue. Without allowing my entire family to know about it, I wrote a very long letter and sent it via first-class mail. A week later, my family member and I met up and gave each other big hugs. Our relationship is restored and is better than ever.

With my neighbors, I love to give them pleasant surprises. I won't mention them specifically, but I promise you that when I walk out of my house, they're always trying to do favors for me. I bring energy to my neighborhood. I learned that if you want the community to help you, you must first help the community!

Growing My Business

With a relentless mindset, I truly believe that my processes in business must constantly change. During the week, my employees and I are constantly asking, "How can we deliver more value to more people in less time?" Success is a numbers game and my numbers keep going up!

I also have a great follow-up system for my clients and fans. Whether it's through text, email, phone call, or personal visits, I always stay in front of people. I cannot afford to be forgotten and I ensure that my marketing efforts perform at the highest level.

Being Forceful

The other day, my Mercedes needed service. However, when I called multiple garages, they told me that they couldn't take me. After several rejections, I got through on my twelfth call. They worked on my car and fixed the problem without charging me a dime, all because of my persistence.

Another example was when I started my business. I would push my products and services in speeches, even when I was told not to. Because I ignored societal norms and accepted behaviors, I overcame the scrutiny and made my living. Despite strong opposition, I kept on moving toward my goals.

Flowing in the Spirit

If I'm ever stuck, I ask myself, "What can I do right now to alleviate my situation?" Sometimes I need rest. Other times I need a good workout session. Either way, I'm always flowing in a higher spirit. I don't try to force myself into situations in which I do not belong.

A good example is when I'm at restaurants. As a food connoisseur, I do not tolerate bad service. If a server gives me a hard time, I request another one. If I don't feel welcome in a certain restaurant, I'll walk out, even if they have the highest ratings in the area. I always get what I want at any restaurant.

Dealing with Critics

I already know that a few people will critique this article. They will say, "He's only talking about himself" or "Who cares?" Some will even hate the fact that I wrote about my spiritual relationship with God. Either way, I know what I'm doing and believe in myself wholeheartedly.

Regardless of these naysayers, I've been overcoming the odds since I was 21 years old. I've had some people severely rebuke me without any validation. They'll assume that they know who I am or what I'm doing, but they have NO CLUE! I just keep on doing what I'm doing because I know where I'm going!

Critics make you do it better; haters make you do it faster. -Daniel Ally

Summary:

If you remain diligent in every area of your life, you'll receive amazing results. It doesn't matter how old you are, where you live, or where you came from. When you do whatever it takes, you will get exactly what you want in life. Don't stop until you get it. "Until" is the keyword to your success.

Diligence separates the winners from the losers. Work "until" you win!
